Parking lots are spaces often located indoors or underground. Gas detection within these spaces is important to monitor the accumulation of exhaust gases, such as carbon monoxide, which can be hazardous to health. An early detection system allows ventilation or alarms to be activated, preventing poisoning or fire hazards and ensuring the safety of people in the parking lot.

Gas detectors protect against a number of risks related to the presence of hazardous gases that could compromise the safety of people, facilities, and the surrounding environment. First, flammable gases, such as methane, propane, or vehicle exhaust, pose a significant risk in enclosed or poorly ventilated environments.

In parking lots, gas detectors mainly monitor carbon monoxide (CO), an odorless and poisonous gas that accumulates in underground parking lots from vehicle exhaust. They can also detect carbon dioxide (CO2), which can be dangerous in enclosed spaces if present in high concentrations. These gases can compromise people’s safety, and the detectors help prevent poisoning risks or other issues by activating ventilation systems or alarms when necessary.
